Obviously the final cost of the PC will depend on which parts you choose to have inside your new computer.

Your new computer will comprise of these parts ...




Computer Case.
Outer Box into which the computer parts fit. Choices are wide ... but unless your PC sits on the dining room table in full view - a standard cheap box will do just as good a job as the most expensive computer case .... These days the case usually comes with the PSU (power supply unit) already fitted


Motherboard.
The main computer component to which all the other parts fit. The "heart & soul" of your computer. Needs to be up to the job ... whatever the job of your new PC may be.


Processor.
The computers "brain" we fit AMD 2.7 GHz as standard on a new PC - which should be good enough without going overboard on price.


Memory Ram.
2Gb of RAM is standard & sufficient for normal everyday internet use. The more memory your PC has - then the more things your computer can do "at the same time"


Hard Drive.
Sata 2 Hard Drive - 500Gb should be sufficient for most PCs. If you need any more - no problem, but less will not save you much money - much better to have the available space.


Computer Operating System.
Microsoft Windows costs money.
We do not install illegal windows on any of our PC computers. Windows Seven Home Premium is the norm ... in English of course - but you chose the operating system you want for the computer.


Computer Screen / Monitor.
Basically ... flat screen & size matters.
How big do you want yours ?
Could be optional of course - if you have an old one lying around somewhere. A 19" computer monitor is the norm, remember as we get older the eyes tend to fade.


Anti Virus / Internet Security.
Vital - free AVG Anti Virus is just not up to the job. It is your computer and entirely your decision - but we use Norton Internet Security on all our PCs and would advise you to do the same. IF you think it costs too much ... think again.



OPTIONAL PC COMPONENTS


DVD/CD Drive.
To play or record CDs or DVD's on a computer you need a DVD Rom, which is also needed to install extra software on the PC. So unless you have an external DVD Rom ... it is more or less a necessity rather than an option to have one fitted to the PC.


Graphic Card.
Most computer motherboards these days are fitted with an onboard graphic solution, which is adequate for most people. So unless you want to run the latest games on the PC, the graphic card will not be required in your computer build.


Microsoft Office [Word & Excel].
If you need Word on the PC - you need Microsoft Office. But it costs money ... Whereas - Open Office is free. Your choice.


Keyboard.
English - YES ... But more than that needs to be durable & the letters clear and wear-free.


Mouse.
Lots of different kinds - a tough choice.


Extra Computer Software.
Windows Live Messenger - Skype - Yahoo Messenger ... whatever tickles your fancy ... if it is free software we will install it free of charge on your new computer ... just ask.
